Richard E. “Dick” Beckwith, 92 of Luna Pier, MI, died Sunday, September 9, 2018, at Wellspring Lutheran Services in Monroe, Michigan. Born October 10, 1925, in Toledo, Ohio, he was the son of Edmond Leroy and Ruth Irene (Smith) Beckwith.
Dick proudly served his Country in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the Philippines and was a life member of the Erie VFW Post# 3925 and a member of the Erie First Presbyterian Church. He retired as a welder with Surface Combustion with over 30 years of service and loved woodworking and clock building and repair .
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Margaret M. (Lemke) Beckwith, Children, James E. (Denise) and Susan M (Bill) Masson; grandchildren, Kimberly (Jonny) Polk, Lisa (Adam) Heintzman, Ken Beckwith, Joe and Christine Masson; great-grandchildren, Caitlyn, Jayven, Tobias and Evelyn Polk; sisters, Ruth Olon and Frances LeGore
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Frank and Robert Beckwith and sisters, Dorothy Star, Mildred Cole and Virginia Beckwith

Visitation at the Michael W. Pawlak funeral home will begin on Thursday, September 13, 2018 from 3:00- 8:00pm where services will be held on Friday at 10:00am.
Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery, LaSalle, Michigan.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Erie First Presbyterian Church, 2029 Manhattan Street, Erie, Michigan 48133
